After watching a certain 1960s beach movie starring Annette Funicello this weekend, we desperately felt the need to kick off summer with that retro, teased and sprayed, uber-tan, Malibu Barbie, Oceanside style.

Essie’s “Fiji� nail polish, a milky, almost-white baby pink is the chalky pedicure color to get you heading in the right direction. It makes your hair look blonder, your feet look tanner, and your day a whole lot sunnier.

So layer on a few coats, slather on the baby oil, grab that sun-reflecting foil shield and hit the beach.
